Steven Spielberg's film Back to the Future turned the futuristic style of the short-lived DeLorean car into a sci-fi icon, with only 6,500 of these distinctive 1980s vehicles remaining today.
QP reported earlier this year that avant-garde watchmaker Romain Jerome was planning to bring this much-revered car back to life with a new chronograph, incorporating materials and design details from the vehicle. And we can now reveal the watch in all its glory.
Constructed from brushed stainless steel, the DeLorean-DNA uses the same materials as the original bodywork of the car, while the ring surrounding the minute counter echoes the design on the wheel and the small seconds counter evokes the glow of the headlights.
The timepiece will be available in a limited edition of 81 in reference to the year the DeLorean was manufactured.
