Taking the complication out of an annual calendar, Ludwig Oechslin has created a pared down timepiece for Ochs und Junior - the anno.
Using just three components to create a function that can sometimes require up to 40, Oechslin's contemporary, minimalist design uses a series of rotating dots to indicate the calendar functions.
The dial displays three circles with 31, 12 and 7 perforations and a red dot travelling around each to indicate the date, month and day respectively.
The anno retails at a respectable SFr.8,000 for the titanium version and SFr.10,000 for the silver.
