Schofield x Cherchbi Watch Wallet

Friday 15 February 2013

Schofield has continued its series of collaborations with quintessentially British brands to produce the Schofield x Cherchbi watch wallet.

Beautifully crafted from vegetable tanned English saddle leather sourced from the Clayton Tannery in Derbyshire, the wallet incorporates enough space to comfortably fit two or three watches, alongside essentials such as money and a passport, to make this the perfect travelling companion for the discerning watch connoisseur.

Cherchbi originated in 2007 with the idea of creating bags using the discarded wool of the ancient Herdwick breed of mountain sheep, and has since grown to become a go-to brand for English-inspired bags and accessories. Two pockets of the watch wallet are lined with its trademark Herdwyck No.10 pure Wool Tweed, with another sporting Moon Mill Tweed and a central pocket featuring a lining constructed from vintage sail cloth from the 1950s, complete with original stitching and markings.

Following in the footsteps of the nautical aesthetic of Schofield’s popular Signalman timepiece, the original artwork for the watch wallet drew inspiration from the Automatic Tide Marker Station situated at Irvine harbour on the Clyde coast of Scotland, where the River Irvine meets the sea.

The watch wallet is available in a very limited number and retails for £468 on the Schofield online store
