SalonQP is unique in the UK and is counted as one of the world's most important watch events. A sophisticated, prestigious and elegant showcase for the luxury watch industry, SalonQP brings together an exceptional list of watch brands ranging from established grandes maisons such as La Montre Hermès and Vacheron Constantin, to independents including Speake-Marin, Urwerk and Stepan Sarpaneva.
During the fourth edition of SalonQP, which took place on 8-10 November 2012, visitors were treated to the latest timepieces from over 50 leading brands, including the unveiling of the AMVOX 7 from Jaeger-LeCoultre, along with the chance to get up close and personal with extraordinary watches including TAG Heuer's MikrotourbillonS and Harry Winston's Opus 12.
We were particularly pleased to show watches from some of the world's leading independent makers, many of whom had never shown in London before. From Max Büsser to Kari Voutilainen, these are some of the most creative talents in the business. Naturally, SalonQP was proud to have a strong British contingent, including new brand Meridian.
A spectacular travelling exhibition by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, entitled The Mastery of Time, tracing the history of time measurement from its origins to the present day, made its only UK stop at the Saatchi Gallery. And, following on from the record breaking George Daniels sale earlier in the week, SalonQP held the first preview showings of the new film about the great man, The Watchmaker's Apprentice.
